Summary: The first poem to The Songs and Biblical Poetry was "A Song of Trust" the speaker of this song, talks about his or her lord treating them like a lamb, and how the lord guides the way for them and protection. It also includes of how the speaker talks about even if he goes through bad times, his lord will guide him. The last stanza talks about the speaker having eternal life with the lord. The next poem, by Cummings, called "i thank You God". This poem is about how he thanks God for everything on the Earth and for everything that is natural. Also, how life goes on through God and how people should not question him. The next part, is another poem called " Sayings of the Wise". The author talks about advice of how to live you'r life and things you should do and not do and not to judge others and to remeber we are all remeber we are all made by God. The next selection that was made into a song is called "A Time For Everything". This poem is about the good, the bad, and the ugly and there is a purpouse for it. The final poem " A Song For Love" is a poem about warning women to not rush love. (pages: 247-264)
